Palmer Park

We stopped at Palmer Park today for a little bit between errands and I got a few pictures. A couple of them I'm really happy with. Especially the first of the two road pictures though the second one is pretty good too.
In all the years I've lived in Colorado Springs I'm surprised I never went in this park before this year. At least I'm getting around to enjoying it now.

I'm going to try to get up near Cripple Creek next week. I think the Aspens will be in full color. I'm so looking forward to getting them.
At the very end of this month we will be heading off to Mt Rushmore. We also have plans to visit Devils Tower. Be ready for pictures.
Until next time, have a great day.

Fall colors

Here are my first ten fall color images. A couple of them I really like.
The trees have barely begun to change but they're definitely on their way. I'll continue to document.

Have a great day and try to enjoy your life.

CF&I Steel

CF&I Steel was a major manufacturer of steel back in the day. Since then there's been major labor strikes, and the company was sold off to Oregon Steel. Part of what was CF&I was never used to Oregon Steel so it's now derelicts of a bygone era. The other day, when we were in Pueblo, I decided to document a bit.
I'd love to wander around on the property and go nuts with the camera. I don't believe they allow that however. There's a lot of stuff that you can get hurt on. I might ask next year, and would probably need to sign some kind of waiver. It seems to me it'd be a very interesting shoot.
Making the resulting images black and white seemed to fit for me. It added an element of starkness to the photos.

Have a great day and try to enjoy your life a bit.
