Pikes Peak

I finally got an SLR. It's a Canon Rebel T5, and I also got two zoom lenses with it. Here are some of my first results.

I had been using a Fuji S8600. It worked pretty well to further my hobby. The hyperfocal zoom did pretty decent, however I'd been wanting something that's a bit more.
My first impressions are the Canon has much better color depth than the Fuji. That probably has to do mostly with the much larger sensor. The Fuji's sensor is about the size of your pinky nail and the Canon's is larger than your thumbnail.
The capture rate is much faster on the Canon too so you can capture more images faster. The jpeg compression rate is higher on the Canon too which results in smaller image files. Average files sizes from the Fuji is about 7 mb, and from the Canon they're about 4 mb. They transfer faster than the ones from the Fuji.
Happily all of the same filters work on both cameras.
Have a great day and try to enjoy your life a bit.
